Maya Rudolph returned to Saturday Night Live this week, opening the door to all kinds of possibilities, including this lively skit in which she played Beyonce and Jay Pharoah portrayed Jay-Z as a variety of stars stopped by the mansion to bestow their blessings on little Blue Ivy.

Yeah, it’s all fun and games until Angelina Jolie tries to walk off with your baby.

Your eyes did not deceive. That was Justin Timberlake as Bon Iver. Loved the fact that only the butler enjoyed his music and that eventually Bon actually put himself to sleep with his music.

I suppose the lingering question from this skit is: Are Prince references still funny?

The only question is, was SNL ever funny? I don't mean, is it no longer funny like they say it wasn't in the 90s. I mean ever?

Yes, it is. If it's not funny to you, don't watch it. It's so simple!
