Bethenny Frankel on ‘Today’: ‘I miscarried’

It seemed like a run-of-the-mill morning show appearance for Bethenny Frankel, one designed to promote the return tonight of her Bravo reality show Bethenny Ever After. You know, mishaps with antibiotics, cute shots of her baby daughter, cobwebs on her husband’s um, appendage.

Then about four minutes into the interview Today’s Savannah Guthrie asked about her stated plans to go for a second child. Watch Frankel's emotional reaction.

You’ll note that Frankel revealed that this miscarriage was so recent that it won’t be part of this season. And that at 41, she feels that “the window’s closing” for her chance at more children.

The risk of having a miscarriage is 1 in 5 for ALL women. Add age and yes, complications and trouble are more likely.
