Days after announcing a spinoff for Breaking Bad, AMC has announced another series' development: The Walking Dead will receive its own companion show, which will premiere in 2015.

"Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer," Charlie Collier, AMC president, shares in a statement.

"We look forward to working with Robert [Kirkman], Gale [Anne Hurd] and Dave [Alpert] again as we develop an entirely new story and cast of characters. It's a big world and we can't wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse," adds Collier.

The companion series has no name, yet, but it will take place in the same world as The Walking Dead.

The fourth season of the hit AMC show will premiere on Oct. 13.
