Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Here’s Kevin Hart recounting the time as a boy when his father threw him in the deep end of a pool. Parents call it “learning to swim”. Kids call it “the most terrifying moment of my childhood.” Take the plunge.
The reason I say you may have heard it before is the bit comes from Kevin Hart: Laugh At My Pain, which airs as a special Sunday night at 9 p.m. on Comedy Central. The film previously ran (although not widely) in theaters last year. And the comedy comes from Hart’s record-breaking Laugh at My Pain stand-up tour. Along with the performance footage, you’ll also see Hart revisiting the North Philadelphia neighborhood he grew up in.
Don’t have cable? Don’t sweat it. Kevin Hart: Laugh At My Pain will be released on DVD on Tuesday.
Enough talk. Here’s another hilarious Hart bit from Sunday in which he reenacts his Uncle Ritchie Jr.’s wildly inappropriate rage at a funeral.
