Another day, another controversy involving a Real Housewives couple. Thankfully for Teresa and Joe Guidice, this news is unrelated to their recent legal woes.
Authorities say a 53-year-old man falsely represented himself as a lawyer to Jacqueline and Christopher Laurita, two cast members of the popular Bravo franchise, Real Housewives of New Jersey.
The Record reports that the man, Mark McGuire of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, spent 45 minutes with the couple during their interview with police following an altercation in April at a salon opening in Ridgewood. McGuire drove off with the Lauritas after the couple's interview over the tiff.
Detectives later discovered that McGuire was not a lawyer, and he was promptly arrested last week and charged with "unauthorized practice of law."
The Lauritas are due in court on Sept. 26, alongside Joe Gorga, another cast member of the NJ Housewives and John Karagiorgis. Each individual will stand before a municipal court judge on assault and terroristic threat charges.
