‘2 Broke Girls’ finale fizzles

Forget going out on a high note.

2 Broke Girls had things all set up for a triumphant first season finale on Monday night. A special one hour episode. A heavily promoted guest appearance from domestic diva Martha Stewart.

But somebody forgot to invite the viewers. The often raunchy CBS sitcom starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as waitresses and roomies in Brooklyn fell to a series low as only 8.4 million viewers tuned in.

Usually 2BG enjoys a cushy lead-in from How I Met Your Mother, but this week the freshman series had the 8 – 9 p.m. slot to itself, clearing the decks for HIMYM’s one hour finale next Monday.

2 Broke Girls is assured of a second season, but this weak departure may cause some troubled summer nights. In the Turks and Caicos.

In the words of the immortal Leonard Pinth Garnell, "Awful show, absolutely terrible, really really sucks."

Agreed. I tried to watch it a couple of times, but it is just a God-awful show.
