Since we were both in our 20's This trend setting songwriter, singer, actress and producer has been on my radar. She set a fashion trend, opened up the music scene for women who wanted to deliver a song their way,not a standard set by formula the studios set.Her songs are my time line. She is outrageous, daring, and caring. What's not to love? vrb1955
The reason I love Madonna so much, is because she changed my life! I was a shy and extremely sensitive girl with low self esteem and no confidence. I was in middle school and was 13 and her music and her charisma changed me and her lyrics are so beautiful and just spoke to me. I changed so much and became outgoing and felt better about myself and I would work out to her music and her videos because she made me want to improve my health, she "Pushed me". Madonna has made me a better person and she has inspired me to make me feel better about myself physically and emotionally. I then began taking karate and kickboxing and getting into shape and I then was writing music, singing and doing modeling. Madonna is my inspiration!!! Thank you Madonna! <3 MadonnaIsMyInspiration
Madonna does her own thing, she doesn't worry about what others are saying but she is also adaptable. She has a great business sense. angietoon
she is timeless, ageless and shakes it up every now and then! mikey5432
Madonna is awesome. To have countless records and albums sound so amazing is one of a kind. :) mtbljr
There aren't many women in the music industry who are still as fascinating to watch as Madonna has been. At, 53 she is still showing us that nobody can hold her back. Her charismatic personality is something that you either love or hate. I admire people who speak their minds and don't let others tell them how to live their life. Madonna has never been one to back down. She's outspoken, witty, but more importantly she's passionate about what she does. Several years ago I was fortunate enough to see her in concert! I was bound and determined that the next time she rolled through Philly I would be at her show. Unfortunately I didn't imagine myself also being unemployed and not able to splurge on concert tickets. Going to see Madonna again would be a great night for me to take my mind off of everything that's going on in my life and just have fun!! Delco_girl- I really can't say I'm a big fan, but I have a friend who would love two tickets to the show, so I'm willing to chime in on this and throw my hat in the ring so that should I be lucky, I could give them to somebody who would really appreciate them
Mother Artist Dancer Optimist Newsworthy Narcisist Adventurer. Often imitated, never duplicated. There is only one Madonna. I love her, we love her, the world loves her. duanephl
She's been one of the only musical artists to survive her industry and adapt. Hate or love her she produces great music and incredible collaborations. Remember...music makes the people come together :) navaja1cortes
Madonna made it when it was a boys world in pop of the 80s with acts such as Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Prince, Wham, etc. She paved the way along with Cyndi Lauper to be original and gave more and more girls of that era confidence to be themselves, even if they were a little weird. Hands down, I'm the winner. Hand it over, and thanks in advance for choosing me. :D CrabsFriend
No thanks, she is boring Nancan1
From Material Girl to Mom to Madge. What is there not to love or at lease respect. She has done it all HER WAY regardless of critics and has done it all magnificently. She has been a trend setter her whole life bowing to no one. Her music has defined a few generations. Summer of 80's? THERE Summer of 90's? THERE 2000 and beyond? STILL HERE EVERYBODY! YOU GO GIRL! Keep on singing! miagooch
Ok I'm sure everyone is going to post about how wonderful Madonna is and how she has changed their lives, that's all great and yes she is wonderful and has changed people’s lives. However it's more for me than just that. See it all started like most being a teenager and having someone to look up to, singing along with and dressing like her. Then I (we) got older and so did Madonna and I began to understand things that I didn't before, it was more than her music and her style.........it was how smart this woman really is. It's how she knew what to do to survive to maintain her fame and fortune by trying to continue to catch the eyes and hearts of us her fans. I've learned many things following Madonna thru the years and the most I've learned is if she can do it so can I (we) by making smart decisions to grow and outshine your competitors no matter what business you’re in. Madonna has been a big part in my life and I consider her more than just the queen of pop I consider her FAMILY!!!

I am not a huge fan, but my wife is. I'll go just to make her happy. movedaway
I graduated high school in the the early 80's. She didn't just show up on the music map she exploded. She was different and set herself apart from the pack. While she'll never win any Academies for her acting her music opened the way for girls in the music business. You may not like her, but you can't argue that she was one of the voices that molded the 1980's. After three decades she is still an amazing entertainer. love2garden
