It’s always a treat to see such up-and-comers as Rockie Fresh and Lunice in an intimate, divey atmosphere like The Barbary. Tonight, the two take the stage at the Fishtown dance club venue, and it’s sure to be high on the scale – remember that EPIC Flosstradamus show

Chi-town based rapper Rockie Fresh is a jack-of-all-trades, having been signed to hip-hop mogul Rick Ross’ label and even diving into unlikely genres with recording artists like Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and the Madden brothers from Good Charlotte. His mixtape Electric Highway was released earlier this year and was received very well.

Lunice you may best know from his team side project, TNGHT, with GOOD Music producer Hudson Mohawke, but this man can stand on his own. The Montreal artist has worked on remixes and beats for Azealia Banks, Deerhunter, and the xx. This year, he was fortunate enough to work on Kanye’s Yeezus album – a pair so perfect.

The evening will be opened by Love City DJs, aka Dan Fisher, a Philly talent who has graced the stage many times at venues like Soundgarden Hall and the TLA.

Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.
The Barbary, 951 Frankford Ave.
All-ages event, TICKETS
