The 7th annual Roots Picnic lineup announced


Each and every year Philadelphia is lucky to host one of the most diverse music festivals around.

The annual Roots Picnic, happening each and every year since 2008, is known for its great mixed lineup of emerging artists and musical legends. In the past its played host to such names as De La Soul, Public Enemy, Naughty by Nature, Vampire Weekend, Diplo, and Nas.

On Monday, Questlove revealed that the festival will take place on Saturday, May 31 at Festival Pier at Penn's Landing and this year's lineup consists of:

Snoop Dogg (backed by The Roots)
Janelle Monáe
The War on Drugs
Action Bronson
A$AP Ferg
Jhene Aiko
Biz Markie (DJ Set)
Bad Rabbits
Chill Moody
Emily Wells
Roman Gianarthur

Just Blaze

Tickets go on sale Friday, Mar. 7 at noon.
