The final rinse for Shampoo Nightclub

Eater Philly reports that Shampoo Nightclub has closed its doors after being open for over a decade. The venue held its final party on Sunday.

I fondly remember my days as a 13-year-old going to Q102 hosted “foam parties” that once ended with me getting a wicked case of mono. No kissing was involved, I was just too awkward for that. I only have the foam to blame.

Aside from those memorable foam parties, they've hosted a number of big music acts like Meek Mill, Kaskade and Lady Gaga over the years.

They posted this status on their Facebook page yesterday:

Shampoo Nightclub wants to thank everyone for all the support through all of the years. Shampoo Nightclub is closed as most of you already know but do not be disappointed and worry about where you have to go now on Friday nights for our Take Over Fridays because we would like to announce Take Over Fridays new location and that is Blurr Nightclub. Get ready because Take Over Fridays is back and thank you to Blurr Nightclub for welcoming us at their venue. We will keep you posted on the date that we start Taking Over The City yet again.

Well now there’s a gigantic nightclub venue up for grabs. Where you at, R5 Productions?
