TMZ is reporting that rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged with assault for allegedly slapping a female fan in the face at this weekend’s Made in America Festival in Philadelphia.

The supposed victim, who has been identified as a young mom, filed a criminal complaint with the District Attorney’s Office today. The complaint stated that the rapper swung an open-handed slap directly into her face during his performance; which she is claiming has caused her to suffer from whiplash. A$AP was dancing in the crowd with fans when the incident happened.

Officials examined her case and decided that A$AP would be charged with a misdemeanor simple assault. No one from the rapper’s camp has made a comment on the matter yet.
