Prince’s ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ cover artwork is hilarious

So, Prince does have a sense of humor after all.

The singer debuted the cover artwork for his single “Breakfast Can Wait” on Friday evening. To much of everyone’s surprise, the artwork poked fun at himself.

The cover features comedian Dave Chapelle dressed as Prince holding a pate of pancakes. Why? Fans of the comedian’s popular early 2000s sketch show The Chapelle Show will recall a legendary episode in which actor Charlie Murphy recalls a bizarre story where he visited the singer’s home. The true tale plays out like a tripped out dream.

You would have though this cover came right off the front page of Reddit, but it is, in fact, the official cover art as tweeted from Prince’s newly created Twitter account.
