Paul McCartney to fill-in for Kurt Cobain at 12-12-12 Nirvana reunion?

The Dec. 12 concert will feature artists Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney. According to The Guardian, Paul McCartney will join Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana on stage tonight at the 12-12-12 concert at Madison Square Garden. Does this make any sense? Not particularly, especially after these quotes in the British newspaper by Macca:  "I didn't really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said: 'Whoa? You guys haven't played together for all that time?'

"And somebody whispered to me: 'That's Nirvana. You're Kurt.' I couldn't believe it."

The 12-12-12 show for Hurricane Sandy relief begins at 7:30 tonight. Turn on your TV, radio or computer on time, because Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band go on first. Here's a list of where to watch, and how to give.
