Neil Young books Hurricane Sandy benefit at the Borgata

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012, 10:28 AM
Neil Young with Crazy Horse at the Farm Aid 2012 concert Sept. 22 at Hersheypark Stadium. He and the band have a double album, called "Psychedelic Pill," due in Nov. "Do not doubt me in my sincerity," he writes. "For it is that that has brought us together now." (JACQUELINE LARMA / AP)

Neil Young & Crazy Horse, who are booked tonight at the Wells Fargo Center, will perform a concert to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy December 6 at the Borgata.

Tickets for the night, billed as "A Special Evening With Neil Young & Crazy Horse," go on sale Friday, November 30 at 10 a.m. The general admission tickets will be priced at $75-$150, and can be purchased at theborgata.com or at 866-900-4TIX (4849). Proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort.

Young and Crazy Horse have been touring the country as of late in support of their most recent album, "Psychedelic Pill."

What's the chance Young plays "Like a Hurricane"? Sure, it's about a lady, but Sandy was a woman too.

Went to see Neil Young at the Tower last year, he was terrible. Come on Neil, your new stuff stinks. Thats all he played. That and every man needs a maid, one of the worst songs ever written.

Hey Ned, FYI... Neil played 17 songs each night last year at the Tower. Only 8 of them were new. What's he's supposed to do - all of his hits from 40+ years ago??? Gimmie a break.
