Have you ever stumbled upon a band that you've fallen in love with because they were opening for another band? Yes?

Well, that happened to me with Montreal duo, Majical Cloudz, a few months ago. I was going to see Autre Ne Veut at Johnny Brenda's and just happened to catch the opener. I was immediately drawn to this band that I knew nothing about.

Devon Welsh’s deep voice filled the room while Matthew Otto’s subtle electronics accompanied the vocals so well. I left the show wanting to know more, arguably one of the best feelings you can get from a concert. I even went on to research as much as I could about them.

The band's debut record, Impersonator, drops on May 21 on Matador Records and they already have a few songs floating around the internet. One of which being "Childhood's End" that has an amazing video which you can watch below.

Tonight, they open for Youth Lagoon at Union Transfer and there are still tickets available. It's the perfect bill and venue to see these guys. Tickets can be found HERE.
