Made in America: Prince Royce

Bilingual Latin pop heart throb Prince Royce kicked off the action at the Liberty Stage, the fest's second sizable out door stage, which is faced south on the north side of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Royce - full name Geoffrey Royce Rojas - is a slick baby faced pompadoured romancer. It wasn't the ladies and fellas he asked to make some noise, but his "Twitter followers and Facebook friends," and he subtley moved from Latin Bachata to traditional R & B, sometimes within the same crowd pleasing song, as on his 2010 hot version of Ben E. King's 1961 classic "Stand By Me," which inspired much bashing around of Made in America's world's smallest beach balls on Saturday afternoon.
