M.I.A. returns with hot new video for “Bring the Noize”

Rapper M.I.A. has been on the low since her last album. She’s gone through an unbearable collaboration with Madonna, a divorce/restraining order with her baby daddy all while not forgetting to remind everyone that she was totally right about the government spying on us.

In her latest video for “Bring the Noize,” the U.K. musician rocks fuscia pink hair, gold plated nails and jams with an all white-wearing crew in some smoking underground party lair. It doesn't seem to be making any kind of political statement, but it's sure to be hidden in there somewhere.

The song was produced by Switch–formerly of Major Lazer– and Surkin.

She’s also got a short leg of tour dates, mostly festivals, for the month of July–none of which come anywhere close to our area. Her fourth studio album, Matangi, is due out this fall.

July 17th          Montreal, QC              Metropolis
July 18th          Toronto, ON                Danforth Music Hall
July 20th          Royal Oak, MI             Royal Oak Music Hall
July 21st          Chicago, IL                  Pitchfork Music Festival
