The daughters of rappers Lil Wayne and Birdman are coming out with a novel next month.
Reginae Cater and Bria Williams’ book Paparazzi Princesses is loosely based off of the teen duo's lives. The fictional story line isn’t hard to guess. It follows characters Kayla Jones and Promise Walker–two teens who have successful parents and feel constant pressure under the spotlight of the media.
The girls sat down with Teen Vogue where they dished on the book, their dads, what music they like and their plans for summer.
Reginae Carter told the magazine, “We always say, ‘Oh my gosh, if someone could just look in on our lives...’ People think it would be so cool to be a celebrity's kid, but it has its ups and downs. Me and Bria have been introduced to the paparazzi and awards shows since we were so little. One day, we said, 'Everybody thinks it's just so perfect, but maybe we should tell them how it is.'"
You can read the full interview on Teen Vogue’s website.
The book will be released on June 4 under Cash Money Content, the music label's publishing division.
