Female seeking female: Courtney Love turns to Craigslist for band mate

This summer Courtney Love is embarking on a solo summer tour and has promised a new album titled Died Blonde.

Her summer tour lineup consists of the same crew that backed Hole’s reunion album in 2010: Love, her guitarist Micko Larkin, drummer Scott Lipps, and bassist Shawn Dailey. Though, she’s made it clear that we should no longer refer to them as Hole. She's moving on strictly as a solo act with a backing band. “I do hate doing the oldies though and all the sh** I get for calling it Hole so I’m just going to call it Courtney Love and get on with it,” she wrote on Facebook in December.

While things seem to be in order for the controversial musician’s tour, a recent interview with Bust might say otherwise. Recognizing the lack of female band members, Love took to Craigslist: ‘Band in the style of Hole looking for bassist in the style of Melissa Auf der Maur.’ – she received only one response. So if you're a female rocker who thinks they fit the bill, give her a shout.

Courtney Love is scheduled to kick-off her tour at the TLA on Thursday, June 20. Tickets are available here.
