Ed Sheeran has added a second Wells Fargo Date date to his upcoming “Divide” tour, putting him in Philadelphia for two consecutive nights this summer.
Sheeran will play the Wells Fargo Center on July 12 in addition to his previously announced July 11 date, which is currently sold out. Tickets for the new show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, via the Wells Fargo Center website and box office, or by phone at 800-298-4200.
The “Thinking Out Loud” singer last played Philadelphia at The Mann Center in May 2015 as part of his “Multiply” tour that year.
Sheeran will tour this summer in support of ÷ (“divide”), hi slatest album, which was released earlier this month. The album, which features singles “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill,” is on target to become the year’s biggest debut on the Billboard 200 so far, according to Billboard.
“I want to do stadiums everywhere,” Sheeran said in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this month. “Like George Strait’s level — he tours every four years, does a couple of stadiums and then [expletive] off again.”
More information about Sheeran’s “Divide” tour is available on the artist’s official website.
