This Saturday, Feb. 1, cozy up at MilkBoy Philly (1100 Chestnut St.) for a group that is sure to melt the snow right off.

all boy/all girl, the ‘museum pop music’ group, has roots in Philadelphia, but found a permanent home in Brooklyn not too long ago. Double bass player Nicholas Rahn, who attended University of the Arts, and his vocalist girlfriend Danielle Lovier were performing as the duo Olive Juice before they decided to head up north. After magically coming across the most compatible band mates on Craigslist, they transformed into a seven-piece outfit that’s driven by the unique sounds of instruments like viola, cello, and ukulele.

If you’re a fan of Dirty Projectors and St. Vincent, you’ll really enjoy the warm and inviting music that all boy/all girl are creating. You can listen and download their debut album Tiny Iglesia, which was recorded and mixed exclusively on analog equipment, right here

Tickets for Saturday’s show – with other performances by The Nocturnal Jocks, and Jay Michaelcan be found here.
