There seems to be a cancellation curse looming over the city of Philadelphia lately.

Less than a week away from Disclosure’s epic, sold out show at Union Transfer, the group has just announced on their official Facebook page that the show has been postponed because they have been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize – the award show takes place in London on Oct. 30 and they "physically can't make it to both."

The show has been rescheduled for June 9, 2014 – tickets are redeemable or can be refunded.

Here is their full Facebook post:

It's with a heavy heart that we need to re-schedule our show in Philadelphia next Tuesday. We have been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, which is on the 30th in London, so physically can't make them both work. We have a new date in for next year on June 9th, tickets will be good to redeem for this show or will be refunded.

The English music duo has undoubtedly coveted the crown for best new artist in the last year or so. Their debut album, Settle, was released this summer and has gained widespread success due to its clever mix of electronic, pop, dance and house in a way that's digestable to the masses.
