Claude Giroux likes country music.

The 24-year-old breakout star of the Flyers, who was raised in a blue-collar town in Ontario, listed five country genre-specific songs as part of his roundup of ten favorites in 2012. Whether or not Giroux adding Jason Aldean's "Fly Over States" was intentional or coincidental, hockey fans hope he will be able to do it soon.

Listen to his picks, below.

Thank God I'm a Country Boy by John Denver

Sweat by Snoop Dogg

Country Girl by Luke Bryan

Don't Give Up On Me by Jason Aldean

Hartnelldown by Tommy Mula

"Now I'm on a line with Claude Giroux."

N****s in Paris by Jay-Z, Kanye West

Fly Over States by Jason Aldean

Springsteen by Eric Church

Paso by Zak Noel

Rock the Boat (ft. Pitbull) by Bob Sinclair

I guess Giroux went with Crosby to the Bieber concert not too long ago, judging by his music selections

Commenting on someone else's taste in music...that makes sense how, I guess I'm baffled about? What's next? Hating his favorite color? His favorite flavor of cake? The only people who care about someone else's personal preferences are people who are clearly insecure about their own lives.
