This Wednesday, August 28 marks the inaugural event that is Kurt Vile Day as officiated by Philadelphia’s own Mayor Michael Nutter.
On that day, Vile will be performing a free show at the City Hall Courtyard from 5:30 – 6:30 in the evening. Prior to his performance, he will be receiving the Liberty Bell Award from the City of Philadelphia – one of the City’s highest honors that is only given to native Philadelphians for their outstanding professional achievements.
If you want to attend this historical Philadelphia music event, RSVP for the show and get your butt to the courtyard early because space is limited and your RSVP does not guarantee entry.
Kurt Vile will be performing in Philadelphia again on October 26 at Union Transfer along with Beach Fossils. Tickets are still available.
