The Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Wrecking Ball world tour kicks off March 18 in Atlanta and will come to the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia on March 28 and 29. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.
The 19 date tour is an all-arena jaunt, including two dates each in Madison Square Garden and East Rutherford, N.J., except for one outdoor show at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 29. Before heading to Europe, the final U.S. date is at the Prudential Center in Newark on May 2.
Interestingly, the official band line-up released this morning includes no replacement for sax player Clarence Clemons, who died last year. That's the Boss with Steven Van Zandt, to the left.
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. this Saturday at ComcastTIX.com, the Wells Fargo Center box office and 800-298-4200.

This is so stupid. The E street band is NOT the E street band without Clarence. Ripoff by Bruce. The lemmings will line up to pony up $100 to see this. Whats next? The Beatles tour with Paul and Ringo? FishtownFitz

I criticize Bruce's politics because he endorses terrible candidates just because they have a D after their name but his concerts are great. But even then I've seen some slippage. I went to the last Spectrum show in 2009 and even that show didn't have the feel of some of the older shows. Since they haven't done an outdoor show in Philly since 2002, I have a feeling I'm not the only one who feels that way. I wouldn't be surprised if tickets were still available for the March shows as we got even closer to the shows. I'm also very interested how much campaigning he does for Obama during either this leg of the tour or if he does a fall leg to support Obama. AvoidSundanceVacations
Van Halen on March 5th and then Bruce on March 28-29. In this era of recession and joblessness, Bruce should've booked several months away. How many times can out of work 50yr olds spend a couple hundred bucks in the same month for entertainment? OnTheBandwagon
Dear Clueless in Sundance. I will bet you a pair of tickets these shows will sell out in less than 3 hours. Obviouslyl you are not a fan of Bruce. I am not a big fan of his politics but everyone has a right to voice their opinion, even you. I have been to almost every Philly show for years. There has not been a drop-off. realitycheck57
Reality, you are right, no drop off. He always sucked. ALJ- David Lee Roth's Van Halen and Springsteen with new albums and tours...it's like the Tonner is 15 again. Next thing you know, the Tonner will be losing his virginity to the aging yet quite desirable lunch lady again.

I don't know how people can say there hasn't been a drop off. He doesn't so 15 shows in North Jersey. He doesn't do 10 shows at MSG. He hasn't done a stadium show in Philly the past 3 tours. There may not be a drop off in your opinion but most people disagree because they're not going to see him. Plus the music is not great. Even The Rising album, while a nice remembrance of 9/11, had some really bizarre and lazy lyrics to some of the songs. AvoidSundanceVacations

Word is a horn section will replace Clarence. And The Big Man may appear on screen, in spirit, to reprise a memorable solo or two. Will there be a dry eye left in the house? Jonathan Takiff
