Beyoncé and Jay Z open Grammys with hot performance

The 56th annual Grammy Awards kicked off with a hot and steamy performance by Beyoncé, who was later joined onstage by husband Jay Z for her hit “Drunk in Love.”

Host LL Cool J gave a proper introduction. The rap legend gave a much deserved nod to P!nk, whose real name is Alecia Moore, born in Doylestown, PA, who is up for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Anna Kendrick, Pharrell, and his hat presented the first major award for Best New Artist, which went to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

New Zealand born Lorde led on the ceremony with her infectious pop hit “Royals.” The 17-year-old is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
