Beliebers weep: Justin Bieber announces ‘retirement’ on Twitter

There’s been a lot of chit chatter in the last month about the status of Justin Bieber as an entertainer. The 19-year-old pop singer has been in the spotlight since he was of a young age, and recently we’ve seen the pop star act like, well, a teenager.

Very early Wednesday morning, Bieber made an announcement on his Twitter account that made waking up on Christmas morning not too enjoyable for his loyal Beliebers:

In almost the same breath, Justin went on to promote his movie, Believe, which officially opened in the theaters on Christmas day. His latest (and maybe last) album, Journals, hit stores on Monday.

This is isn’t the first time Biebs has alluded to retirement. He told L.A.’s Power 106 FM just a week ago. This announcement comes after the whirlwind of controversy the star has been caught up in; everything from smoking pot, public graffiti, and sneaking out of Brazilian brothels.

We hope Justin gets it together.
