Atoms For Peace
In case you missed it yesterday, the supergroup Atoms For Peace( Radiohead lead man Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck/R.E.M drummer Joey Waronker and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco) announced that they will head out on the road in support of their debut record, Amok. The album was released last month on XL Recordings and it largely feels like a Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich collaboration album that lacks Flea's signature bass lines. Despite that though, the album overall is a solid piece of work. It's just whenever people of their caliber are together, the expectations are through the roof.
There's no doubt that when the band plays live, Flea's bass will have more free range than it does on the record. Luckily for us Philadelphians, we'll get a chance to witness that live at Temple University's Liacouras Center on Tuesday, September 24. Tickets for the show go on sale this Saturday(03/23) and will be found HERE.

There's no doubt that when the band plays live, Flea's bass will have more free range than it does on the record. Also don't be surprised if they pull out some surprises from Thom Yorke's solo album, The Eraser. The band did get together back in 2010 with the sole purpose of performing that record live. They clicked so well that it led to them recording Amok.

Luckily for us Philadelphians, we'll get a chance to witness Atoms For Peace in a live setting at Temple University's Liacouras Center on Tuesday, September 24. Tickets for the show go on sale this Saturday(03/23) and will be found HERE. Also presale tickets go on sale Thursday(03/21) and will be found HERE
