This week, Philly favorite Kevin Hart continues his quest to become the hardest working man in show business with the news that he’ll be teaming up with none other than Jamie Foxx for an upcoming comedy dubbed Black Phantom. There is just no stopping this man.

The pair are currently in talks to star in the film, which—if everything goes according to plan—will be helmed by Ride Along director Tim Story. The connections to that film, in fact, run deep, with producers Will Packer and Will Gluck also having signed on. Which, of course, is to say that we can probably expect a similar tone as Ride Along on this one.

Pack reportedly has wanted to do Black Phantom for some time, and Hart’s recent success combined with Foxx’s desire to work with him seems to have created a perfect comedic storm. Black Phantom tells the tale of a mob hitman who gets double-crossed by his outfit, and so hires the Black Phantom—the very same professional sent to kill him in the first place. So, in that sense, the combination of Hart, Foxx, Story, and Packer appears to be a great fit.

Unfortunately, no release date info on this one just yet since its so early in the development stage. But, in the mean time, you can check out Hart in About Last Night now, and Foxx when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes out in May.
