There seems to be a reason behind Zac Efron's apparent lack of partying-- and a completed stint in rehab is supposedly the cause.
The 25-year-old actor reportedly completed treatment about five months ago.
"He's healthy, happy and not drinking," a source told E! News, which broke the story. "He's taking time to focus on working."
People sources also confirmed the news of Efron's stint in rehab to the publication, with one sharing an update on his current condition: "He's taking care of himself and it shows." An Us Weekly source said the actor is currently cutting "those toxic people" from his life.
There's no confirmation on whether the handsome star checked into rehab for alcohol or substance abuse, though one report alleges Efron sought help after his cocaine use spiraled out of control during filming of "Neighbors" in April.
Efron's next role is in Parkland, a drama centered on the Kennedy assassination, in which he plays doctor Jim Carrico, the real-life, first-year surgical resident who was the first to examine JFK's body after the president was shot dead. The film hits theaters Oct. 8.
He walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month when he shared with reporters, "I'm good, real good."
