Suge Knight, former Death Row Records CEO, was shot multiple times early Sunday morning at a nightclub in West Hollywood, TMZ reports.
The mogul was able to walk out of the club on his own and was put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. According to TMZ, Knight is out of surgery for his injuries and expected to make a full recovery.
Chris Brown was hosting a pre-VMA party at 1 OAK when the incident took place. Brown took to Twitter following the shooting to vent. “It’s disappointing that we as a society can’t have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes,” the singer wrote.
Knight, real name Marion Huge Knight, Jr., was the CEO at Death Row Records in the early 1990s.
NBC Los Angeles reports a man and woman were also injured in the incident. Their conditions are unknown and no suspects have been arrested in relation to the shooting.
