TMZ is reporting that on Friday afternoon Justin Bieber was aboard a private plane en route to this weekend’s Super Bowl parties. Just outside of NYC, at Teterboro in New Jersey, his trip came to an abrupt halt because authorities picked up a strong odor that smelled like marijuana.

Suspicious, law enforcement held the plane at the terminal to search the cabin for drugs. Although two police dogs detected marijuana in the luggage onboard, no physical traces were found. Bieber and his passengers, which included his father, were let go and no charges were made.
