Radio legend Casey Kasem has died at 82

Radio legend Casey Kasem has died according to a post on his daughter’s Facebook page. He was 82.

On Sunday, June 15, Kerri Kasem posted a picture of her dad saying, “Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our dad.”

Kasem was best known as the original host of ‘American Top 40,’ a  radio show counts down the most popular songs of the day.

Daughter Kerri made the decision to remove her father from life support last week amidst family turmoil.
