Questlove, hometown hero, drummer of the Roots and prolific tweeter, tried to warn Occupy Wall Street-ers about the impending police raid that happened last night and ... they ignored him, which didn't turn out well

Here's Questo's first tweet from last night:

From Bomani Jones

Bomani Jones has the rest of the conversation, in which Questlove continued to tell protesters to be careful and the Occupy Wall Street Twitter account continues to claim that everything is business as usual.

The New York Times' Jennifer Preston has the story as well but, girl, we gotta call you out. Referring to Questlove as "the drummer for the house band on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night talk show." You gotta be freakin' kidding us. We get that you mention he's in the Roots at the top, but the Roots are not just some houseband!

Right, The Roots are sooo well known. Questlove should be glad Jimmy Fallon remembers his name each night. Outside of Philly, no one knows these clowns.

The Roots are far more respected and known worldwide than they are in Philly you clown!

Ahmir Questlove Thompson is a musical genius, and a hometown dude. Graduated from The Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. He never let's his celebrity go to his head, you can see him on South Street buying a water ice, or you ca catch him DJ'ing at Fluid when he's in town. He's arguably the best drummer alive, besides a founding member of The Roots, you can check out his jazz album The Philadelphia Experiment, which is phenomenal. He's played alongside artists like Steve Van Zandt, Christina Aguilera, Rick Nielsen, Joe Perry, and John Mayer. He's produced music for numerous artists like Erykah Badu, Common, and Fiona Apple. Not to mention he was the readers pick for #8 in Rolling Stone for greatest drummers of all time.
You really should know what you're speaking of before you go and post something uninformed and ridiculous TheDog and bbeach.

Ha ha ha! So there were about 1,000 cops in riot gear and it's a "sneak attack?" No disrespect meant for Q. I like The Roots.
