Paris Jackson rushed to hospital after alleged suicide attempt

Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, was rushed to a California hospital early Wednesday morning following an alleged suicide attempt.

Her mother Debbie Rowe confirmed the news of the 15-year-old's hospitalization to Entertainment Tonight, adding that her daughter has had "a lot going on [lately]." June 25 marks the fourth anniversary of Michael Jackson's death.

TMZ reports the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a 911 call at 1:27 a.m. regarding a "possible overdose." The outlet also reports that an emergency responder said there were cuts on one of Jackson's wrists.

Leading up to her hospitalization, Jackson posted some cryptic tweets Tuesday night, including, "I wonder why tears are salty?"

Katherine Jackson's attorney Perry Sanders released a statement Wednesday afternoon stating that Paris is receiving medical attention while the family is seeking privacy. "Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are," he stated. "It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family's privacy."

Jackson is believed to fully recover from the incident.
