NBC10 lets another anchor go, Dawn Timmeney was not renewed
NBC 10 sheds another anchor. Dawn Timmeney, who anchored the 4 and 5:30 p.m. newscast worked her last day at the station on Friday. Timmeney, who worked at NBC10 for nearly 12 years, was not renewed by the station, which we reported recently had also chosen not to renew Tim Lake.

Dawn Timmeney, who anchored the 4 and 5:30 p.m. newscast worked her last day at the station on Friday.
Timmeney, who worked at NBC10 for nearly 12 years, was not renewed by the station, which we reported recently had also chosen not to renew Tim Lake.
NBC 10 news director Anzio Williams emailed staff another generic statement about a veteran staffer's departure, as he did after Lake's final newscast.
"In her 12 years at NBC 10 Dawn Timmeney has worn many hats in different dayparts. Please join me in wishing Dawn the very best as she moves forward.
Timmeney did not return a request for comment.
It appears to me that NBC is not making the decisions to get rid of on-air talent. The timing being what it is the decisions are most probably coming from the dumb heads at Comcrap. There are no longer journalists reporting the news on TV, but just pretty to look at no talents. The people who are being dismissed were good reporters, they knew how to report the news, now you just have talking heads who read what is in front of them. I would venture to say that very few could find Syria, Iraq, Iran on a map. I used to watch NBC10, not anymore. Why should I, there is no longer real reporting going on.— RandiRN- maybe it is time for Mr. Williams to go.. It will be a very short press release....
- I was not a fan of DT. I remember one time sitting in a hair salon while she was in the chair next to me. If you could hear her go on and on about her "celebrity" status and how important her hair was to her job! I thought I would be ill. She needed to get over herself. Now they can get rid of Renee.
