Looks like Matt Nordgren, who was briefly with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006, is in fact, dating Lindsay Lohan.

Us Weekly confirms the actress is seeing the former athlete-turned-businessman after years of friendship.

Lohan, 27, who completed a three-month stint in rehab this summer, has cut toxic people out of her life in an attempt to curb her previous, hard-partying ways. Nordgren, 30, a Dallas-based businessman and former star of Bravo reality series Most Eligible Dallas, supposedly has positively impacted the embattled star's new-found lifestyle.

"He’s a great influence on her,” a source close to Lohan told the publication on Tuesday. “He’s also a Christian and won’t drink around her. He’s trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow. He’s really good for her," the same source added.

People also spoke to a source who added, "He drinks but not irresponsibly and not in front of her. He is close to her whole family."

In a photo posted to Lohan's Instagram account on Sept. 11, the two cozy up on a couch alongside friends in an undisclosed location. Nordgren, it appears, is holding in his right hand, a water bottle and cell phone.

The news of Lohan's potential romance with the former NFL player garnered attention over the weekend after Nordgren told Page Six, "We've hung out," in addition to commenting on their friendship.

"She’s [been] completely sober for months now. She’s in a great place, she’s thinking clear and working hard and meeting with all the right people,” he continued.

Nordgren was released less than three weeks after being signed to the Eagles roster in 2006. Prior to that, he was Vince Young's backup at the University of Texas.

He's been linked in the past to Bachelorette winner Vienna Girardi and Hills beauty Audrina Patridge.

His most-memorable relationship for fans, however, was with his Most Eligible co-star, Courtney Kerr, who seems to have moved on from her days of dependency on the former NFL player.

Tweeting Sunday in response to a fan who asked about the Lohan-Nordgren report, Kerr shared, "Lindsay is more than welcome to help herself to my discarded suitors. Best of luck to them!"
