Lamar Odom's had a rough week.
Five days ago, a report broke that the embattled NBA player and reality TV star had been missing for days, a story that became so big that his agent had to tell ESPN he knew of Odom's exact whereabouts.
His wife, Khloe Kardashian, has allegedly given him an ultimatum to get clean and pull it together, or else their soon-to-be 4-year marriage will end.
Early Friday morning, Odom was arrested for a DUI, or the exact terminology being "driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs," says TMZ, which broke the story first.
The 33-year-old was stopped by California Highway Patrol at 3:25 a.m. and signals of "intoxications" on LA's 101 Freeway after his white Mercedes-Benz was spotted going 50 mph, far below the speed limit. To give the situation some context: Justin Bieber was pulled over on the same highway last summer for reportedly going over 100 mph. Police say Odom had been driving in a "serpentine manner."
Allegedly unable to perform numerous field sobriety tests, Odom was arrested at 3:54 a.m. and taken to Van Nuys Jail where he was booked about an hour later, according to the LA County Sheriff's Department. He was jailed on $15,000 bail and released Friday morning after posting the amount.
Odom then refused to take a chemical sobriety test, which under California state law results in an immediate one-year suspension of his license, CHP spokesperson Leland Tang said Friday. The NBA player returned to the Clippers last year and became a free agent at the end of the season. A report surfaced Thursday that the Lakers, amid concerns of Odom's reported drug abuse issues, have allegedly offered the forward a spot on the team's roster if he goes to rehab.
Odom's agent has yet to comment on the DUI incident.
