Kristin Cavallari busted by cops for driving in Illinois with California license

The sun is not shining in Illinois for this California girl.

Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari shared on Twitter Friday afternoon that she spent her morning under police custody and was forced to post bail- all for driving with a California license in Illinois.

According to Illinois state law, drivers need to have a state-issued driver's license one they have resided in the state for 90 days.

The 26-year-old wife to Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler and mom to baby Camden Jack claims she is technically still a resident of California because she owns property there.

TMZ spoke to a police department rep who says the HIlls personality was initially stopped for speeding. She was then asked to follow the police to the station where she was cited for $120. She is unable to drive until she gets a valid license in the state of Illinois.
