Jamie Dornan replaces Charlie Hunnam for ’50 Shades of Grey’ male lead

With Charlie Hunnam backing out of his major 50 Shades of Grey role just last week, fans have been itching to find out who will replace the actor.

In what seems like a blink of an eye, the team behind the steamy novel’s movie adaptation have crowned Irish actor Jamie Dornan as the new male lead, reports Variety. The 31-year-old will take on the role of Christian Grey and we’re certain he’ll do the part justice. Dornan is a former Calvin Klein underwear model and stars on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and played a part in Sofia Coppola’s version of Marie Antoinette. He also briefly dated actress Keira Knightley.

Hunnam kissed the huge role goodbye just this month claiming he had scheduling conflicts with his TV show Sons of Anarchy and it interjected with family time.
