The Central Pennsylvania Film Office are trying to woo "Jersey Shore" stars Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley to Jersey Shore, PA, a tiny borough near Williamsport, about 140 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

We're all for this, only if it means a road trip episode to Philly.

The commissioner of the film office, Lorena Beniquez, extended an invitation to the reality stars after they were denied a permit to film a proposed spin-off in Hoboken, NJ. MTV told the Associated Press they were flattered by the invite and "love all Jersey Shores!" The show will center around Snooki and JWOWW after they leave the Jersey-version of the Jersey Shore.

Jersey Shore, Pa., is quite different from their normal haunts in Seaside Heights. The tiny town is mostly known for its industry, but Beniquez seeks to change that.

Williamsport city clerk Janet Frank seemed fist-pumpingly excited about the project.  "Oh, my gosh, yes," Frank told the AP when asked if she would listen to a potential pitch for the show. "I think that's awesome. I think that's a great idea. It's a great way to get attractions here."

But before things get out of hand, they might want to do some research first.

"It would be fun to have the spotlight on the borough," said Jersey Shore borough manager Gretchen Speicher. "But we'd like to know what the show's going to be about, will it be shot inside or outside ... and I would like to know because I've never seen ['Jersey Shore']."

For the record, we could totally see this as some sort of "The Simple Life"-style reality show where Snooki and JWOWW are asked to take odd jobs around town.

Sadly, we don't think this will happen as a town with an estimated population of 4,300 probably doesn't have enough tanning salons to satiate the ladies need for that perfect orange glow.

"I would like to know because I've never seen Jersey Shore". Yeah, you might want to check out the show first before you make any further comments.

Does Molly Eichel know you can drive from Philly to Seaside Heights, NJ and back to Philly in less time than it would take to just make 1 trip from Philly to Jersey Shore, PA.
