'Go the F--- to Sleep' author gets political with Samuel L. Jackson
Molly Eichel, Daily News Staff Writer
Adam Mansbach, the best-selling author of satirical children's book "Go the F--- to Sleep" and former Rutgers-Camden adjunct, re-teamed with Samuel L. Jackson to stump for Obama in a new video called "Wake the F--- Up."Jackson appears in the video (below) while Mansbach penned the script.
Mansbach and Jackson previously worked together on the audiobook of the "children's book for adults."
"My hopes are that the video helps … remind people of Obama's accomplishments and the stakes of this election, and galvanize people to get out and get active," Mansbach told Yahoo! "Not just to vote, but to volunteer and organize." Mansbach said he didn't write the script for Jackson, but revised it when the actor signed on. Considering Fox 2000 has the film rights (as we told you in a piece on Mansbach from last year), maybe it's time for another team-up on the big screen.
"My hopes are that the video helps … remind people of Obama's accomplishments..." What accomplishments?
hollandpa- exactly!

saving the economy from a catastrophe, supporting the poor and middle class by affording them the need of healthcare insurance (albeit through a conservative designed system) ending two unnecessary wars, deposing dictators left and right, and I haven't even watched the video yet, and winning the hearts and minds of 47% of Americans
cer-mit- Save the economy?!? At best, the economy has been patched up with band-aids while bleeding internally. At worst, the current administration has further inflated the gov't debt and American dollars bubbles, which if they pop, will make 2008 seem like Christmas. Imagine your stock portfolio being devalued by 80-90%, the American dollar barely worth the paper it printed on, 16 Trillion in debt becoming 160 Trillion via currency exchange. These may be worst case scenarios but are very real problems staring at us right now. But who really cares right? We'd rather care about Lady Gaga getting fat or complain about the NFL using replacement refs. centard
- Care to take a stab at how high the debt will reach on Jan. 20, 2013? I cringe at the thought.

Killing Bin Laden (can you say "Mission Accomplished"?) , and generally being a decent human being who didn't build his wealth bottom feeding on american worker like Mittens. Oh, and is intelligent enough to know why airplanes don't have windows. CiceroSpuriousDeodatusTheSecond- Tell your "Mission Accomplished" BS to the family of Ambassador Stevens and the relatives of the others that lost their lives 9/11/12.
TomM - First, it was the military who killed bin Laden -- sent on the mission bu Dubya. Second, if he's so decent, why is he hiding ALL of his past, yet demanding Romney give out years, and eventually, I'm sure, decades, of tax returns? Third, airplanes do have windows. Planes even have windows that open during flight -- you might want to go fact-check those naysayers and do some reading on aviation sites.

The tittle says all you need to know about the character of the men involved.....certianly not a literary masterpeice when the best it can do is use the f word...........and what would you expect after that tittle but garbage and trash.....and for the record, why does anyone thing because your are a movie star, that your beliefs or insights are any greater or more important than those of your own.....He is a great actor folks and he is rich....that is all....no more no less......and he has an opinion...big deal...so do you and I.....and for the record, I bet he is part of the 1% we are all sspposed to hate.....can't have it both ways sheep nuggett
Interesting comments cer-mit& Cicero: I am voting for Obama, but not for some of the assumptions w/o factual support you both assert. Saving the economy? Economists would debate that he "saved" it. The subprime collapse occured bc Clinton eliminted the Glass-Stewall Act; a law that prevented the subprime mortgage chaos from happening. Also, Obama (and Bush) made the taxpayers pick up the tab for crooks at Bank of America, Wachovia, Morgan Stanley, etc. Obama also rewarded Bush's NY Fed boss Tim Geitner by making him Sec. of Treasury. Goldman Sachs still controls the White House. .....Ending unnecessary wars? I don't think Obama would agree with you. We are still involved in Iraq and Afghanistan. He approved the use of drones over Pakistan. He kept Gitmo open and approved keeping untold numbers of terrorists in prison. Obama has followed Bush's policy for the most part and followed the advice of the Joint Chiefs. Hillary is almost a war hawk at this point. I guess the classified info caused her to change her tune.... "Build his wealth bottom feeind on american worker?" Hmm. His dad had a high school education and worked in Detroit for the auto industry, before moving up the ladder. I think Obama will do a better job based facts, not inaccuracies. Bill Clinton gave a great speech about character assination at the convention. Take a look. TR3
Another ONE%'er towing the Obama agenda, gotta love the hypocrites. TomM
I'm voting for Obama in the hopes that Mitten's doners jump out of windows, not because I care about the president... ClarkU- real responsible, real belief in the Constitutional process, and a real Obammy fan -- not giving a damn where the money comes from when it is gone. If Romney's supporters all commit suicide [highly unlikely], then where do you think Obummer will steal from the rich: in Russia?

I voted for Obama cause I hoped he could change things. But as Clint said, "If you're not doing the job, we got to let you go." Simple as that. Yogi Spinoza
