After a month of silence, a rep for actor Dean McDermott has confirmed to Us Weekly that he has entered rehab. In a statement released, he seems to be apologizing for cheating on his wife, Tori Spelling:
"I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," McDermott tells Us in a statement. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues. I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves."
The news of an affair originally broke around the holidays. Reports said that McDermott had cheated on his wife with 28-year-old Emily Goodhand in Toronto. The actor was in town to promote his show Chopped Canada. "He told me he and Tori had a sexless marriage," Goodhand told Us. Emily says she met up with Dean for sex on the day that they first met.
Tori has yet to publically addressed the cheating scandal or rehab. In fact, she’s gone on like nothing is wrong (just take a look at her Twitter account). The couple has been married for seven years and they share four children together.
Spelling, best known for her role in Beverly Hills, 90210, and her husband have been basking in reality TV fame with their Oxygen network show, Tori & Dean.
