Broomall-raised creator of 'Friends' brings Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin to Netflix

Marta Kauffman, the Broomall-raised mastermind behind "Friends," is bringing two legends to Netflix. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda will star in "Grace and Frankie," a 13-part half-hour series about rivals whose husbands announce that they are in love with each other and plan to get married. Definitely feeling a bit of an "Odd Couple" vibe here, although with a definite twist.

Tomlin and Fonda are no strangers: They worked together in the 1980 hit "9 to 5," meaning I will keep my fingers crossed for a Dolly Parton cameo.

Kauffman is working alongside Howard J. Morris, who currently writes and produces TBS comedy "Sullivan & Son." The two worked together on the Kauffman co-created "Dream On."

Fonda and Tomlin have been both made appearances on television as of late, with Fonda recently taking over a featured role in HBO's "The Newsroom," while Tomlin supported Reba McEntire in "Malibu Country."

"Grace and Frankie" will premiere on Netflix next year.
