Chris Soules, former star of The Bachelor, has reportedly been arrested after leaving the scene of a fatal crash in Iowa on Monday.

According to the Des Moines Register, Soules, 35, was booked into Buchanan County Jail in Independence, Iowa, just after 1 a.m. Tuesday. He was booked for leaving the scene of a fatal accident, a criminal charge.

His arrest, TMZ reports, was in connection with a fatal crash in Buchanan County that occurred at about 8:20 p.m. on Monday.

In that incident, the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office received a call that a 2008 Chevy pickup truck had collided with a John Deere tractor somewhere outside Aurora, Iowa. The collision sent each vehicle into opposite ditches on the sides of the road where the incident occurred, Iowa State Patrol said of the crash.

The driver of the tractor was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, the Des Moines Register reports. Soules is suspected of being the Chevy pickup truck's driver. TMZ reports that Soules has received medical attention.

Soules famously appeared on both The Bachelorette's 10th season in 2014, and The Bachelor in 2015 for that show's 19th season. He followed his runs on those shows with an appearance on Dancing With the Stars and Worst Cooks in America.
