ABC has committed to a half-hour comedy pilot based on the comedian's stand-up.

The premise of the series is a "candid look" at the life of a conflicted couple with kids, post-divorce.

Although Hart won't star in the series, THR reports he will play a recurring role if the show is given the go-ahead after the pilot.
