6abc’s Monica Malpass puts $4.9 million Rittenhouse Square home up for sale

Action News anchor Monica Malpass’ Rittenhouse Square home is up for sale, and the 8,200-square-foot house can be yours for just under $5 million.

The longtime 6abc anchor recently listed the property, which Curbed Philly reports she has owned since 2005, with Century 21 for $4,990,000. The 1865 home features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half-baths, and nine fireplaces.

As the property’s listing indicates, the home has undergone a number of additions, including a solarium added in 2009 and a two-tier deck built last year, along with a new paint job. There is also a third-floor gym with wall-mounted basketball hoop, the listing states.

In addition to hosting Action News’ 5 p.m. weekday broadcasts, Malpass also hosts Inside Story, the station’s political talk show.
