Anthony Cumia, who is the co-host on SiriusXM’s Opie and Anthony Show, has been fired over a number of offensive tweets that were sent from his personal account on Wednesday.

It began when Cumia was taking photos in Times Square and an African-American woman allegedly assaulted him because she did not want her picture taken. Following the incident he proceeded to post a extremely harsh, racially charged comments:

"So, I'm taking pix in NYC & a black girl who was in frame punched me in the face. I called her a f**king "&$;;-:" cause that's what she WAS!"

“She’s lucky I was a white legal gun owner or she’d be dead. Then 5 blacks started giving me s--t!”

"Wish a cop was around. Although she said she'd tell them I sexually harassed her. Lying c**t. I hope she gets shot in her a** f**k face. Ugh"

"Savage violent animal f**ks prey on white people. Easy targets. This C**T has no clue how lucky she was. She belted me 10 times. I had a gun."

He later posted a photo of his alleged attacker.

He continued to rant after the incident on his page and received major backlash from media and fans. On Friday Anthony was fired due to the postings being "abhorrent to SiriusXM, and his behavior is wholly inconsistent with what SiriusXm represents."

The status of the show has yet to be determined. The pair have been together since 1995.
