It sounds like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas might be heading towards splitsville.

According to People magazine, the Hollywood couple has been spending some extended time apart including vacations, hanging out with their kids and red carpet events. They say the stars have not yet filed for divorce or sought out legal separation. A spokesperson for Zeta-Jones told AP that the actress and her husband "are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage."

The duo hasn’t been photographed together since April 22 of this year. Both individuals have been seen at events riding solo.

The pair have been through a lot together. Married in 2000, Douglas has since struggled with a three-year cancer battle and Zeta-Jones has been living with bipolar II disorder. These mental and medical issues have weighed heavy on their longtime marriage.
