Kings of Leon's Nathan Followill injured in tour bus accident

KINGS OF LEON drummer NATHAN FOLLOWILL was hospitalized on Saturday night (09Aug14) with broken ribs after the band's tour bus was involved in a road accident following a show in Boston, Massachusetts. The Sex on Fire hitmakers have since assured fans Followill will be fine, but they have postponed their show at Saratoga Springs in New York on Sunday (10Aug14) to allow the percussionist time to recover from his injuries. A statement posted on the group's Facebook.com page on Sunday morning reads: "The band was en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill. "Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well. The band will postpone the show that was planned for TONIGHT, August 10th, until further notice. Refunds for ticket holders will be available at point of purchase." The drummer's bandmate brother, Jared Followill, adds on Twitter: "So sad this a.m.. Bus accident last night. Nathan has broken ribs. This was the most fun tour in a while. We'll be back ASAP. #GetWellNate". The group's Mechanical Bull Tour is scheduled to take the rockers across the U.S. until early October (14), before heading to Mexico. It is not yet known if further dates on the trek will be postponed as a result of Followill's injury, but he has reached out to fans to thank them for their support. He tweets, "Thank you for all of the get well soons. I'm a little banged up but will be back better than ever."
